“I knew when I met you an adventure was going to happen.”

― A.A. Milne

There’s something about having a baby that brings us out of the usual and into the unusual. This weekend I was walking Anna around Jetaime’s parent’s place. Anna was wide-eyed and curious and I had a lot of fun introducing her to the chickens, showing her the papaya plants and the banana trees, and having her feel the wind on her face and be able to breathe in the really fresh air. Then I could feel the tiniest trickle of rain and a song started pouring out of me and soon I noticed Anna was dancing with her arms in her own little way and we just danced together in the beginnings of rain and it was probably my favourite memory of the whole month so far.  Jetaime captured the last few moments on video. We have no idea what she’s really thinking in there but we can see the expression of wonder on her face often. I often find myself singing the song from Aladdin “I can show you the world” whenever I get to show her something new.  Anna can’t talk yet with her voice, but everything else about her tells me she’s a little adventurer inside. I can’t wait to explore more of this life together with her and Jetaime and see the world through the wonder of her eyes.
